Narsinghgarh Police Bust Illegal Liquor Trade

In a special campaign aimed at curbing the illegal liquor trade in the Rajgarh district, Narsinghgarh police have executed a significant operation. Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Amit Tolani, joint police teams from ten police stations, acting on intelligence from an informant, raided the New Delhi Kanjar Dera in Narsinghgarh.

This operation led to the arrest of five individuals and the seizure of a substantial quantity of illicit liquor. The joint operation was spearheaded by Narsinghgarh SDOPI Prakash Sharma, along with the in-charges of Byawara, Khilchipur, Talen, Boda, Malavar, Bhojpur, Sarangpur, and Kurawar police stations, all under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police KL Banjare. Reserve Inspector Urmila Chauhan and Women's Police Station in-charge Kusum Vaskale were also integral to this crucial action.

Seizure of Illicit Liquor and Arrests

During the coordinated search operation, police teams recovered illicit liquor from the homes of Lavkesh, Pushpendra, Manish, Sangeeta Bai, and Roopabai. The confiscated stock includes 175 liters of English liquor and 190 liters of raw liquor produced through illicit distillation methods.

The total estimated value of the seized liquor has been assessed at ₹2,17,476. Legal proceedings have been initiated against all five arrested individuals, with five separate cases registered under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. These offenses are registered under crime numbers 629/26 to 633/26. This action is considered a major step towards eradicating the production and distribution of illegal liquor in the region.

Further Interrogation Underway

According to local authorities, the entire operation was conducted peacefully, and the situation in the area remains normal. Police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals to gather information about the source of the liquor and to identify other members of their network. This campaign is expected to increase pressure on other individuals involved in the illicit liquor trade.
