Police Department Honors Retirees on Diwali
On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the Bareilly Police Department demonstrated its respect for retired officers and staff. In line with the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police, City Superintendent of Police Chirag Jain, along with the Circle Officer I and Kotwali In-charge, visited the residences of police pensioners in the Civil Lines area.
During these visits, the officials extended heartfelt Diwali greetings to the retired personnel. They were presented with bouquets and sweets as tokens of appreciation. This initiative highlights the police department's strong sense of family, extending deep affection and respect to its former members.
Cherishing Service and Experience
The officers engaged with the pensioners, inquiring about their health and well-being, and wishing them prosperity and good health. They spent time reminiscing, sharing memories, and acknowledging the invaluable contributions these individuals made to the department. These personal interactions brought smiles to the retirees' faces and deepened their sense of gratitude and belonging.
The personal visits by senior officials to pensioners' homes are a significant effort to recognize their service, uphold their dignity, and boost morale. Such events strengthen the bond between current and former police personnel and serve as a testament to the department's unity and camaraderie.
“Retired police personnel are the foundation of our department, and their experience is invaluable. The police department always respects its pensioners, and such events will continue in the future,” stated City Superintendent of Police Chirag Jain.
Jain emphasized the department's responsibility to care for its former members and ensure they feel they are still integral to the police family. This tradition serves as an inspiration for the current police force and reinforces societal respect for those who dedicated their lives to service. These acknowledgments project a positive image of the police, fostering trust and goodwill among citizens.
A Family That Cares
The gesture signifies that the police force is more than just an enforcement agency; it functions like a family that looks after its members, regardless of their current position or retirement status. This initiative by Bareilly Police sets an example across the state on how to honor former servicemen.
