Valmiki Community in Charkhari Calls for Temple Renovation
The program held at the Madhavasan Valmiki Temple in Hathikhana, Charkhari, was a significant highlight. Folk singers Umakant Dwivedi and Dhvani Dwivedi mesmerized the devotees with their soul-stirring bhajans, creating a divine atmosphere with renditions of 'Mangal Bhawan Amangal Haari'. The event concluded with a grand Aarti followed by the distribution of prasad among the attendees. Over fifty local citizens, including the Municipal Council President's representative, Rampal Kushwaha, were present.
During the event, representatives of the Valmiki community in Charkhari expressed deep concern over the dilapidated condition of the temple and the adjoining Dharamshala. Community leaders informed that they had submitted a prayer letter to the Municipal Council's Executive Officer for repair work approximately a year ago. However, the work remains pending due to a lack of budget.
The community members have strongly urged the government and administration to immediately approve the budget for the renovation of the temple. They also appreciated the government's initiative to organize such religious programs on Valmiki Jayanti. Praveen Pateriya and Sanjeet Srivastava from the Municipal Council provided significant support in the smooth execution of all programs. The event was jointly conducted by Amit Kumar Valmiki and Aditya Valmiki, providing new direction to the celebration.
