Damoh | October 27, 2026
At the weekly public grievance redressal session held at the Damoh Collectorate premises on Tuesday, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav listened attentively to the diverse problems of ordinary citizens. He issued strict directives to the concerned officials for their prompt resolution.
During the session, numerous applications were received concerning self-employment ventures, pensions, revenue-related documents, disability assistance, and Aadhaar cards. The Collector emphasized the importance of swift action on received applications and ensuring timely relief for eligible beneficiaries.
He specifically instructed that applicants interested in establishing self-employment ventures be guided by bank officials to ensure the smooth setup of their businesses.
Pension and Revenue Matters Resolved Swiftly
During the grievance redressal, an elderly individual complained about not receiving their pension. An inquiry by the Social Security Officer revealed the issue stemmed from e-KYC. The Collector immediately ordered the correction of the e-KYC.
Furthermore, upon learning of the elderly person's need for medical treatment, the Chief Medical and Health Officer was directed to ensure appropriate medical care. In a similar vein, Bhagwat Prasad Mishra, a resident of Pipariya village, complained that he had not yet received a copy of a revenue-related order, even after two months. The Collector directed the concerned official to immediately provide the necessary documents, offering relief to the affected individual.
Disability Assistance and Financial Aid
Roshni Yadav, a differently-abled resident of Ghana village, requested a motor tricycle. Officials informed her that she had already been provided with a tricycle in 2023. Upon learning that the tricycle was damaged, the Collector instructed the relevant official to take appropriate action.
Draupadi, a resident of Bhaisa village, presented her issue of not having an Aadhaar card. The Collector ordered the e-Governance Manager to expedite the process of making her Aadhaar card.
Considering the family's financial situation, the Collector also provided Draupadi with an immediate financial assistance cheque of five thousand rupees.
In conclusion, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav instructed all officials to address public problems with sensitivity and promptness, ensuring that citizens can easily benefit from government schemes and services.
