Madhya Pradesh to Establish 11 New Industrial Parks with ₹8144 Crore Investment on 9047 Acres

Industrial Expansion on the Horizon

Madhya Pradesh is set for a significant industrial expansion, with plans to develop 11 new industrial parks spanning 9,047.08 acres across the state. A total investment of ₹8,144.35 crore is proposed for these projects. The primary objective of this initiative is to accelerate industrial development in the state and provide state-of-the-art facilities to attract investors.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav presented these proposals for the state's industrial expansion during the third meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority of the National Industrial Corridor Development & Implementation Trust (NICDIT) in New Delhi. These proposed parks will be developed with 'plug-and-play' infrastructure, meaning investors can directly set up their units and reduce project initiation time. This will further strengthen the investment-friendly environment in the state.

Development of Industrial Hubs in Key Cities

The 11 proposed industrial parks will include various important cities of the state. Prominent among these are the Avantika Industrial Centre in Ujjain, Bhensola in Dhar, Pipralawa-Palikalan in Dewas-Shajapur, IR Ratlam-Palsodi in Ratlam, Ashta Industrial Cluster in Sehore, Maswasi Grant in Sagar, Chainpura in Guna, Mohana in Gwalior, Dharmpura in Jabalpur, Simra in Katni, and Shivsagar in Rewa. Identifying these parks also aims to address regional industrial imbalances.

Focus on Diverse Industries

Special emphasis will be placed on the development of industries in diverse sectors such as pharmaceuticals, automobiles, renewable energy equipment, semiconductors, and IT & ITES within these industrial parks. A special textile park is planned at Bhensola in Dhar, which will act as an extension of the PM MITRA Park. This move will help integrate and strengthen the entire value chain of the textile industry in one location.

Enhanced Facilities for Employees

The government is also prioritizing the safety and facilities for employees working in industrial areas, especially women. Plans are in place to develop essential arrangements such as day-care centers, CCTV-based security systems, health facilities, canteens, and hostels in these proposed parks. This will ensure that employees can work in a safe and supportive environment, leading to increased productivity.

Goal of Economic Growth and Employment Generation

A comprehensive expansion of industrial activities is expected in various parts of the state through these industrial parks. This will not only attract large-scale investment but also significantly increase employment opportunities, both direct and indirect, at the local level. The government aims to establish Madhya Pradesh as one of the country's leading industrial and investment hubs through modern industrial infrastructure, investment-friendly policies, and improved connectivity.

This initiative aligns with the Central Government's Bharat Vyavsayik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA), which focuses on developing plug-and-play industrial parks across the country.
