Madhya Pradesh Police to Hire 9,662 Personnel, Enhancing Security for Simhastha-2028

In a significant move to bolster the state's law and order machinery, the Madhya Pradesh government, under the directives of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, has approved the recruitment of 9,662 vacant posts in the police department. This decision aims to strengthen the state's preparedness for future challenges including the upcoming Simhastha-2028, increasing population, urbanization, and cybercrime.

The Home Department has issued four separate orders for the recruitment. These include 7,500 posts for Constable (General Duty), 1,000 posts for Constable (Driver), 135 posts for Stenographer (Subedar-A), 507 posts for various cadres of Sub-Inspector, and 520 posts for Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI). Cumulatively, 8,500 positions will be filled in the Constable cadre, 655 in the Stenographer/ASI cadre, and 507 in the Subedar/Sub-Inspector cadre.

Recruitment Process and Future Steps

Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana stated that this recruitment will significantly enhance the capabilities of the Madhya Pradesh Police. He expressed confidence that it will strengthen law and order management, crime control, cybercrime prevention, women and child safety, and emergency response systems.

"The security arrangements for major events like the upcoming Simhastha-2028 will also be further strengthened by this. New appointments are expected to infuse new energy into the police force, enabling them to provide better and faster police services to the common citizens. This step is considered a significant effort towards making the state more secure."

Recruitment to be Conducted by Employee Selection Board

The recruitment process for these 9,662 positions will be conducted by the Employee Selection Board (ESB). The Police Headquarters has issued necessary instructions to ensure the recruitment process is completed within the stipulated timeline, in a transparent, impartial, and quality-driven manner.
