Mass Tree Plantation Drive Held in Nawabganj

A significant tree plantation campaign was organized in the Nawabganj development block of Farrukhabad district, under the direction of the Divisional Director, Social Forestry Division. Under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' (Service Pledge Campaign), dense saplings were planted on ten acres of land belonging to the Beta Muralidhar Gram Samaj (village community).

The chief guest for this program was the MLA of Kaimganj, Dr. Surabhi Gangwar, who inaugurated the initiative by planting a sapling herself. During the tree plantation event, MLA Dr. Surabhi Gangwar also inspected the area and, addressing the assembled public, emphasized the importance of environmental conservation. She stated that public awareness regarding the environment is extremely crucial in the current times.

In line with the government's intent, she urged every individual to plant at least one tree in the name of their mother. The MLA highlighted this initiative as vital for ecological balance, stating it is a significant step towards ensuring a better future for upcoming generations.

Ten Acres of Land Greenified

This tree plantation campaign was organized under the 'Seva Sankalp' initiative, with the specific aim of enriching ten acres of land at the Beta Muralidhar Gram Samaj with green cover. This large-scale plantation is expected not only to increase the greenery of the region but also to strengthen the local ecosystem.

The Forest Department team played an active role in this event, planting various species of trees. Special attention was given to the suitability of these plants for the local climate and soil to ensure their optimal growth.

Appeal for Environmental Protection

The program was attended by the Ranger of Kaimganj, Rajesh Kumar, the local Gram Pradhan (village head), and a large number of villagers. MLA Dr. Surabhi Gangwar appealed to everyone to actively contribute to environmental protection.

She stressed that it is not solely the duty of the Forest Department or the government, but the responsibility of every citizen to contribute to keeping their surrounding environment clean and green. She reiterated the slogan 'One Tree in Mother's Name,' inspiring people to participate in this emotional and eco-friendly initiative.

The objective of this message was to encourage people to view tree planting as a personal and family responsibility. At the conclusion of the program, the concerned officials pledged to ensure the continuous care and protection of the planted saplings, thereby effectively increasing the green cover in the area.

This included regular irrigation, weeding, and other necessary steps for plant protection. Local residents also participated enthusiastically in this environmental protection campaign and reiterated their commitment. The Gram Pradhan assured that all possible efforts would be made at the local level for the monitoring and protection of these plants, ensuring that all saplings grow into trees and benefit the region.

This collective effort is poised to be a positive step towards the overall development and environmental sustainability of the area.
