Kanwar Yatra in Farrukhabad: A Flood of Devotion for Jalabhishek at Siddha Shiv Shakti Mahakal Temple

Grand Kanwar Yatra Held in Farrukhabad

On the auspicious occasion of the month of Sawan, the second grand Kanwar Yatra was organized from the Shri Siddha Shiv Shakti Mahakal Temple in Pal Nagla Vijadharpur, Farrukhabad. A large number of devotees, including women, children, and men, participated enthusiastically in this procession.

The main highlight of the journey was filling Ganga water from Panchal Ghat and performing Jalabhishek for Lord Shiva at the Shri Siddha Shiv Shakti Mahakal Temple. The procession was inaugurated by Mahant Ishwardas Maharaj of the Durvasa Rishi Ashram located at Panchal Ghat.

The procession of Kanwariyas passed through Panchal Ghat Ganga Bridge, Panchal Ghat Chauraha, Maseni Chauraha, Nekpur Bridge, Reliance Tiraha, Central Jail Chauraha, and Central Jail Tiraha. Throughout the journey, the entire route reverberated with devotional chants of 'Har-Har Mahadev' and 'Har-Har Bam-Bam', creating a spiritual atmosphere.

This flood of devotion was a sight to behold, imbuing the entire environment with a spiritual aura. Upon reaching the temple, filled with the devotees' fervor, the Kanwariyas performed the Jalabhishek of Lord Mahakal with Ganga water according to rituals. During this ceremony, everyone prayed for the peace and prosperity of the country and the state.

The enthusiasm and devotional atmosphere of the Kanwariyas inspired all present.
