According to the Jyotish Math Sansthan in Bhopal, the planet Jupiter is set to rise in the west at 5:19 AM on August 10, 2026. This celestial event is expected to trigger a substantial shift in weather patterns.

Astrological calculations suggest that Jupiter's emergence during the Adra Nakshatra will bolster the prospects for good rainfall during the upcoming Shravan month. The institute's astrologer and prophet, Pandit Vinod Gautam, stated that Jupiter's rise on a Monday, especially in conjunction with stellar alignments, is a key indicator of meteorological changes.

Rainfall Prospects Linked to Nakshatras

Indian astrology identifies eight specific nakshatras associated with rainfall. Currently, rainfall activities have been progressing through Ashlesha, the fourth nakshatra, since August 3. Pandit Gautam noted that the Ashlesha nakshatra, with its vehicle being a horse and lord being Mars, is currently indicating intermittent rainfall.

However, Jupiter's rise is expected to significantly boost rainfall activities, leading to a strong probability of intensified rain showers. Jupiter is currently positioned in the Cancer sign and had been in a combust state since July 15. Its emergence signals a clear increase in precipitation trends.

Predicting Monsoon Intensity and Impact

The astrologer has forecast that this period could witness a spell of continuous rain during Shravan, with good rainfall expected in many parts of the country. This alignment is considered indicative of widespread precipitation.

Nevertheless, concerns have also been raised about the potential for life disruptions in some areas due to excessive rainfall. Pandit Gautam further advised that changes in rainfall patterns may be observed after August 17, following a shift in the nakshatras.
