Drug Administration Inspects Medical Stores in Narsinghgarh

As part of the Chief Minister's Jan Vishwas Abhiyan, a team from the drug administration conducted a surprise inspection of three drug selling establishments in the Ghoghatpur area of Narsinghgarh on September 23, 2026. The primary objective of this action was to ensure compliance with regulations and bring transparency to the drug sales system.

Inspection of Records and Compliance

During the inspection, the purchase and sale records of Maa Ambika Medical, Yogesh Medical, and Rathore Medical Stores were thoroughly examined. It was observed during the inspection that the respective pharmacists were present at all three establishments. Officials meticulously reviewed the stock of available medicines, their records, and other essential documents.

Instructions Issued to Drug Vendors

Drug vendors were given clear instructions to strictly adhere to the prescribed legal procedures in the purchase and sale of medicines. Specifically, it was directed that all medicines should be purchased only from authorized sources and proper purchase bills must be preserved. These bills will be mandatory to present during departmental inspections.

Emphasis on Transparency and Quality in Drug Procurement

The drug inspector explained to the drug vendors that business transparency is achieved through purchase and sale bills, which also facilitates verification of the quality of purchased medicines. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining correct records for special category drugs and monitored medications. It was ensured that all relevant documents are kept in order as per regulations to allow for quick verification in any untoward situation.

District Drug Inspector Dilip Agarwal stated that inspections under the Jan Vishwas Abhiyan will continue uninterrupted in the district. He mentioned that similar checks have been conducted previously in various areas to verify the presence of pharmacists, sales of medicines based on doctor's prescriptions, and the lawful purchase and sale of narcotic drugs. This campaign by the drug administration is a significant step towards making drug vendors aware of the rules, establishing a safe and transparent drug distribution system, and ensuring accountability. The department is highly likely to inspect other drug centers in the district in the coming days.
