The Jain community in the Aaron police station area of Guna district, Madhya Pradesh, is experiencing deep outrage following an incident where Jain saints were allegedly subjected to disrespect and abuse. In protest of the incident, hundreds of community members gathered at the police station on Monday, July 30, 2024, submitting a memorandum to the police demanding strict legal action against the accused.

According to information received, the incident occurred as the Jain saints were returning to their location after partaking in a meal. It is alleged that during this time, an individual not only used abusive language towards them but also insulted them. Upon receiving news of this incident, members of the Jain community expressed their anger and surrounded the police station, demanding immediate action.

Demand for Action Against Accused

Officials and representatives of the Jain community strongly condemned the incident, stating that respecting saints is a moral duty of every citizen. They emphasized that such incidents not only hurt religious sentiments but also damage social harmony and mutual trust.

The community has demanded an impartial investigation from the administration and swift and stringent legal action against the culprits to prevent the recurrence of such unpleasant incidents in the future.

Police Register Case

The police station has taken the Jain community's complaint seriously and has begun an investigation into the matter. Police stated that a fair inquiry is being conducted into the allegations made in the complaint. Further necessary action will be taken according to the law based on the facts that emerge during the investigation.

The police have registered a case against two women under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
