The lucrative offer was extended to a student enrolled in the institute's Integrated MTech programme. Significantly, two other students also achieved landmark figures, receiving annual packages of Rs 1.3 crore each.

The placement success at IIIT-B extends beyond these top offers. A substantial 22 students have secured annual packages exceeding Rs 60 lakh.
Furthermore, 27 students received offers ranging between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 60 lakh, with over 110 graduates placed at annual salaries above Rs 20 lakh.
26th Convocation Highlights
These impressive placement figures were announced during IIIT Bengaluru's 26th Convocation ceremony, where a total of 316 students were conferred their degrees.
The graduating batch included 95 students from the Integrated Master of Technology program, 175 from Master of Technology, 32 from Master of Science (Research), and 14 PhD scholars.
Institute's Focus on Digital Public Infrastructure
IIIT-B Director, Professor Debabrata Das, used the convocation address to highlight the institute's pioneering work in Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
He announced the establishment of India's first DPI Division within an academic institution and cited the Tele-MANAS platform as a key contribution, which has already handled over four million calls.
