Honoring Yoga Practitioners: World Record Felicitation Ceremony Held on Guru Purnima
Indore hosted a grand ceremony to honor yoga practitioners and collaborators for their achievements, including a world record.

Yoga Achievers Celebrated in Indore
To commemorate the successful organization of International Yoga Day 2026, the establishment of a world record in the Asia Book of Records, and the Guru Purnima festival, the Hariom Yoga Kendra Charitable Trust organized a dignified honor and felicitation ceremony in Indore. The event took place at the auditorium of Choithram Netralaya, Shriram Talawali, Dhar Road.
The ceremony saw the honoring of dedicated yoga practitioners and collaborators. The chief guest was Shri Pushyamitra Bhargav, Mayor of Indore, while Shri Raghavendra Sharma presided over the event. Notable attendees included Shri Animesh Bhargav, Omannand Guruji, Smt. Chetna Joshi, Dr. Sandhya Chouksey, Dr. Pramod Neema, Dr. Lokesh Joshi, Shri Gopal Goyal, Shri Kishore Goyal, Shri Brijesh Gupta, Dr. Antim Jain, Shri Rinku Porwal, Shri Harish Dagur, Dr. Pramod Nandwal, Dr. Nirmal Mahajan, Dr. R.K. Bajpai, Shri Omprakash Jaiswal, Shri Hetram Chouksey, Shri Manoj Verma, and Rakesh Choudhary, coordinator of the Yoga Mitra Abhiyan, alongside representatives from various yoga organizations and distinguished citizens.
Emphasis on Yoga's Dissemination
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamps, followed by Guru Vandana and Saraswati Vandana. Subsequently, all yoga instructors, practitioners, and representatives of various supporting organizations who made significant contributions to the successful organization of International Yoga Day and the establishment of the world record in the Asia Book of Records were honored with certificates.
In their addresses, the distinguished guests highlighted the importance of yoga, stating that it is not merely a physical exercise but a lifestyle for healthy, balanced, and disciplined living. The guests emphasized yoga's crucial role in its widespread dissemination across society, public awareness, social harmony, and the creation of a healthy India. The tireless efforts of all yoga practitioners were highly commended.
Inspiring Example of Collective Cooperation
Ashwini Verma delivered the welcome address, while K.C. Jain compered the event. Prem Kumar Dua concluded the ceremony with a vote of thanks. The organizers described the event as an inspiring example of the collective cooperation, dedication, and service spirit of various yoga organizations, instructors, volunteers, and participants.
They further stated that such events are instrumental in increasing awareness about yoga in society and motivating people to practice it.
