Health Camps Held Across Farrukhabad
With the aim of making healthcare accessible in the remote and rural areas of Farrukhabad district, special health camps were organized on Sunday at 34 Primary Health Centers (PHC). A total of 1651 patients underwent health check-ups at these camps, receiving necessary medical advice and medicines.
Patient Statistics and Treatment
According to data released by the Health Department, among the patients who attended the camps, 358 were found to be suffering from fever, 206 from gastrointestinal issues, 194 from diabetes, 62 from hypertension, and 411 from skin problems. Additionally, 658 patients were treated for other common ailments. Health teams meticulously examined each patient, providing them with appropriate advice and medication.
Monitoring of Health Services and Arrangements
To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the organized health camps, departmental officials conducted surprise inspections at various centers. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr. Anand Upadhyay, personally visited PHC Khimsepur and PHC Dhirpur to review the progress of health services. He instructed the healthcare workers to ensure patients faced no inconvenience and received medical attention on a priority basis.
Additional Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deepak Kataria and Epidemiologist Dr. Randhir Singh inspected PHC Sabalpur. Meanwhile, Dr. Sarwar Iqbal visited PHC Kuinyaankhera and PHC Faizbag. During these inspections, health department officials also visited flood relief posts in Shamsabad and Jahanganj to assess the arrangements. Dr. Parikshit Safeer and Dr. Anunay Kutar reviewed the status of health services at PHC Niyamatpur Thakuran and Jahanganj.
Emphasis on Strengthening Rural Health Services
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anand Upadhyay stated that the primary objective of these health camps is to further strengthen health services in rural areas. He directed all healthcare workers to provide timely check-ups and medicines to every individual who attends. Dr. Upadhyay also instructed officials to maintain special vigilance in flood-affected areas to bolster health preparedness. He emphasized the department's commitment to continuously provide similar health services to local residents in the future, enabling them to receive better medical care close to home.
