Illicit Liquor Crackdown in Guna

In a significant crackdown on illegal liquor operations, a joint team of Bajaranggarh Police Station and the Excise Department has taken decisive action in Gadlagird village. Acting under the directives of Guna Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal and guided by Additional Superintendent of Police Prashant Singh Suman, along with the supervision of CSP Anand Rai, the operation resulted in the destruction of substantial quantities of illicit liquor manufacturing materials and the arrest of two women involved in the trade.

Major Raid Uncovers Illegal Operations

The extensive joint operation, which concluded on September 11, 2026, involved a thorough search of enclosures, fields, bushes, and the vicinity of a drain in Gadlagird village. During this meticulous search, the team discovered approximately 1200 liters of 'lahan' (raw material used for making illegal liquor) concealed in various drums. The discovered 'lahan' was immediately destroyed on the spot to curb the production of illicit liquor.

Legal Action Taken Against Accused

As part of the operation, police apprehended two women red-handed with illegal country liquor. Nirjala Bai, wife of Jeetu Pardhi, was found in possession of 60 liters of illegal country liquor. A case has been registered against her at the Bajaranggarh Police Station under Crime Number 101/2026, Section 34(2) of the Excise Act. In a separate instance, Karina Bai, wife of Rajbir Pardhi, was found with 10 liters of illegal country liquor. Police have initiated legal proceedings against her under Crime Number 102/2026, Section 34 of the Excise Act. Additionally, the Excise Department has registered two separate cases pertaining to these illegal liquor incidents.

Key personnel who contributed significantly to this successful operation include Station House Officer Sub-Inspector Kripal Singh Parihar, ASI Bhanwar Singh Rajput, Head Constable Rajesh Shukla, Head Constable Anju Tomar, Constable Mahesh Banjara, Constable Hemant Soni, Constable Abhayraj Raghuwanshi, and Excise Department Sub-Inspector Radhakrishna Attariya, along with other police officers. The police administration has emphasized that efforts are underway to gather information about individuals involved in the illegal liquor trade and their entire network within the district. Continuous and effective legal action will be maintained against such mafia to completely curb such illegal activities in the region. Local police are thoroughly investigating the entire matter.
