Devotional Celebrations Mark Jaljhulni Ekadashi

The town of Semri Harchand in the Narmadapuram district joyfully celebrated the festival of Jaljhulni Ekadashi on September 22, 2026. The event was marked by traditional devotion and enthusiasm as grand processions were organized.

Deities of Lord Balkrishna from various local temples were carried in palanquins, accompanied by the resonant sounds of traditional drums and vibrant fireworks. Devotees engaged in devotional singing of Krishna's name, creating a spiritual atmosphere.

Elaborate Processions and Rituals

The palanquins carrying the deities were taken out with full religious rites from prominent temples including the Shri Ramchandra Ji Panchayati Bada Mandir, Sarju Bai Ki Maria Radha Krishna Mandir, Shri Radha Krishna Chhota Mandir, the Radha Krishna Mandir at Pipal Chowk, and the Radha Krishna Mandir on Station Road.

These idols were exquisitely adorned with fragrant flowers and jewel-studded garlands, significantly enhancing the visual splendor of the processions. The participation of local residents in this religious event was substantial, reflecting the community's deep-rooted faith.

Devotional 'Jalvihar' and Conclusion

The processions from all temples converged at the town's Ramlila Maidan before proceeding to the riverbank. Here, the devotees performed the traditional 'Jalvihar' (a ritualistic immersion) of the deities, upholding the age-old tradition with utmost sincerity.

Following the Jalvihar, a ceremonial Aarti was performed, marking the conclusion of the day's main events. Throughout the day, devotees flocked to the local temples for darshan, underscoring the rich religious heritage of Semri Harchand and fostering a sense of unity and devotion within the community.
