Five-Day Ganesh Chaturthi Festival Culminates in Feteghanj Paschim

The five-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival concluded on Friday with immense devotion and joy in Feteghanj Paschim, a town in the Meerganj tehsil of Bareilly. Celebrated in Mohalla Mali, the festival saw devotees performing elaborate rituals for five days after the installation of the Ganesh idol, praying for the prosperity and well-being of their families.

Devotional Immersion Procession

Friday, the day of immersion, was filled with an atmosphere of deep devotion. A large number of devotees, accompanied by traditional music and the enthusiastic throwing of colored powder (gulal), proceeded towards Pithupura with the Ganesh idol. The entire area resonated with chants of 'Ganpati Bappa Moriya'.

Following final prayers at Pithupura, the Ganesh idol was ceremonially immersed in the Ganga River, completing the rituals with utmost reverence. The organizers stated that Dilip Maratha had arranged for the installation of the Ganesh idol on Monday through Pandit Pawan Pandey. For five days, devotees worshipped the Vighnaharta (remover of obstacles) with special prayers.

Community Engagement and Future Events

As a subsequent phase of the festival, organizers announced that a large community feast (bhandara) would be held for devotees on Saturday. The event saw significant attendance from local devotees and dignitaries, including Sudhir Porwal, President of the Sarrafat Vyapar Mandal, Dr. Mudit Pratap Singh, Bablu Saini, Naveen Rastogi, Suresh Gupta, Tushar Rastogi, Sachin Gupta, Golu Thakur, Golu Porwal, Kunal Kashyap, Aryan, and Tanish Gupta. This entire celebration has instilled considerable enthusiasm within the community of the region.
