FIR Sought Against YouTuber Over Alleged Anti-Muslim Remarks

In Etawah, various Muslim organizations and leaders of the Azad Samaj Party have submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police (Rural), demanding the registration of a case against YouTuber Richa Tiwari. The allegations stem from videos allegedly containing objectionable and derogatory remarks about the Muslim community, which were reportedly circulated on social media.

Allegations of Insensitive Content

Officials from the Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), All India Ulema & Mashaikh Board Unit Etawah, and Insani Bhai Chara Samiti jointly claimed in their memorandum that Richa Tiwari shared a video on Instagram containing disparaging comments against the Muslim community. The organizations allege that this video has hurt religious sentiments and poses a risk to social harmony.

Demands for Fair Investigation and Action

During the submission of the memorandum, Abhishek Azad, Kanpur Mandal In-charge of Azad Samaj Party (Kanshiram), stated that content that offends the sentiments of any religion or community is unacceptable. He demanded a fair investigation into the matter and strict legal action against those found guilty.

“Any attempt to weaken India's Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb and mutual brotherhood will not be tolerated,” emphasized Mohammad Ameen Bhai, President of Insani Bhai Chara Samiti and former Bhim Army Kanpur Mandal In-charge. He urged the administration to ensure a fair investigation and action as per the law, so that no one can misuse social media in the future to spread animosity in society.

Lucky Jatav, Kanpur Mandal In-charge, added that social media is a powerful medium for expression, but it should not be used to spread hatred against any religion or community. He advocated for stringent action against the culprits.

Concerns Over Viral Video and Social Harmony

The memorandum also stated that the video in question was shared on platforms including Instagram and Facebook, after which it went viral rapidly. The organizations accuse the alleged remarks in the video of hurting religious sentiments and raising concerns about the impact on social harmony.

The delegation has demanded the registration of a case based on the viral video and necessary legal action.

Among those who submitted the memorandum were Haji Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed, District President of All India Ulema & Mashaikh Board Unit Etawah; Abhishek Azad, Kanpur Mandal In-charge; Lucky Jatav; Mohammad Ameen Bhai, President of Insani Bhai Chara Samiti; Mohammad Azeem Moazzam, In-charge of All India Ulema & Mashaikh Board Unit Etawah; along with Murad Ali, Ashif Warisi, Sudhir Azad, Youth Front District President, Gautam Singh, Mohit Kumar, Sanjay Khan, Shivam Journalist, Abhishek Kumar, and a large number of people from Dalit and Muslim communities.
