Review Meeting Held for Educational Standards

Farrukhabad, August 4, 2026 – In a significant review meeting, District Magistrate Dr. Ankur Lathar of Farrukhabad emphasized the need to further enhance the quality of education in the district's primary schools. He issued essential directives to the Basic Education Officer and all Block Education Officers concerning improvements in academic standards, ensuring regular inspections, and upgrading foundational facilities.

The District Magistrate stressed that primary education serves as the cornerstone of a child's future. Therefore, he highlighted the necessity of ensuring quality teaching, consistent academic activities, and effective school management in every institution. Particular emphasis was placed on achieving 100% student attendance, timely completion of the prescribed syllabus, and continuous improvement in learning levels.

Upgrading Facilities and Ensuring Regular Inspections

Directives were issued for the creation of clean and safe environments in schools, along with regular reviews of drinking water, sanitation, electricity, the quality of mid-day meals, and student enrollment and attendance. All Block Education Officers were instructed to conduct regular school inspections and ensure the timely resolution of any identified deficiencies.

The District Magistrate also highlighted the importance of regular inspections of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas and directed the submission of weekly reports. He further mandated cross-checking in other schools when addressing complaints related to schools, to facilitate a thorough investigation of issues.

Instructions were also given for continuous monitoring of the quality of mid-day meals to ensure children receive nutritious food. The meeting concluded with a call for quality improvement in these educational institutions.

Emphasis on Innovation and Accountability

Dr. Lathar encouraged the promotion of innovation-based teaching activities. He issued directives for close monitoring of teachers' regular attendance and their academic responsibilities to prevent any laxity in teaching work. Coordination with the respective Block Development Officers and Village Heads was suggested to resolve issues like waterlogging on school premises.

Furthermore, instructions were given for the timely repair of damaged school buildings as per regulations and for the demolition of buildings found to be technically unsuitable. The District Magistrate urged education department officials to work in coordination to develop primary schools into centers of excellence for quality education.

The Basic Education Officer and other concerned officials were present during the meeting.
