Pension Disbursement Delayed Due to Technical Issues

In Farrukhabad district, only 20 percent of beneficiaries receiving the destitute women's pension have had the first installment for the fiscal year 2026-27 credited to their accounts. The primary reason for this delay is attributed to technical difficulties encountered in the pension disbursement process via the NSP (National Scholarship Portal) system at the government level.

Funds to be Credited by Late August

District Probation Officer Anil Chandra clarified that the process of transferring funds to the accounts of the remaining beneficiaries is ongoing. He assured that by the last week of August 2026, the Women Welfare Department, Lucknow, will disburse the pension amounts through PFMS (Public Financial Management System) to the bank accounts of all eligible beneficiaries, linked to their Aadhaar.

Technical Causes for Pension Payment Delay Explained

The administration further explained that the entire pension disbursement process is managed by the government under the NSP (National Scholarship Portal) system. Some technical flaws within this system have prevented funds from being transferred to the accounts of the remaining beneficiaries. Solutions to these technical problems are being prioritized to normalize the pension distribution process as quickly as possible.

The District Probation Officer stated that unexpected complexities in data processing through the NSP system have caused the payment delay. The department is coordinating with the NSP core team to overcome these technical hurdles. This is the first installment for the fiscal year 2026-27, which was expected by the end of June. However, unforeseen technical reasons have led to this delay.

The Women and Child Development Department in Lucknow is taking this matter seriously and has issued directives for its prompt resolution. Funds are directly transferred to each beneficiary's Aadhaar-linked bank account via PFMS (Public Financial Management System), a transparent system. However, the main issue has arisen during the data synchronization from the NSP system to PFMS.

Beneficiaries Urged to Remain Patient

The administration has appealed to the destitute women not to pay attention to any rumors and to remain patient. The department is working with full dedication and transparency, and the process of transferring funds to all eligible women's accounts within the stipulated timeframe will be completed. The department apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this delay.

The District Probation Officer reiterated that the pension amount will definitely reach every eligible beneficiary's account by the last week of August 2026. Efforts are being made to ensure such technical obstacles do not occur in the future. For this, an review of the NSP system's upgradation and its integration with PFMS is also underway. The department's aim is to ensure that government scheme benefits reach eligible individuals on time and without any hindrance.
