Demand for Airstrip Upgrade and Helicopter Service in Narmadapuram

Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Madhya Pradesh, Smt. Maya Narolia, met with the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Shri Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, in New Delhi on Tuesday. During this courtesy call, several crucial issues related to boosting tourism and improving local connectivity in the Narmadapuram district were discussed.

The primary agenda of the meeting revolved around the renovation and development of the highly significant Pachmarhi airstrip from a tourism perspective, and the commencement of helicopter services for the Madhai tourist destination. MP Narolia emphasized that the development of these two facilities would not only increase tourist footfall in the region but also provide local residents with better air connectivity, thereby accelerating regional economic development.

Plans to Boost Tourism

MP Narolia highlighted that upgrading the Pachmarhi airstrip and establishing helicopter services for Madhai would enable the full utilization of the region's tourism potential. This would allow even remote tourists to easily access these beautiful locations, which is currently a challenge due to limited transportation options. Helicopter services would save time and make travel more comfortable.

Present during this meeting were also Jhalawar Lok Sabha MP Dushyant Singh, Lok Sabha MP Shrikant Shinde, and former Mandal President Vikas Narolia. The presence of these dignitaries added further importance to the discussions.

Expansion of Civil Aviation at National Level

The meeting also shed light on the ongoing efforts under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to expand air connectivity across the country and strengthen the civil aviation sector. A productive discussion was held on the role of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and its future plans to accelerate regional development. MP Narolia informed the Union Minister about the further development possibilities in this sector in Madhya Pradesh.
