Corporation's Strictness Yields Results in Revenue Collection

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation's rigorous approach to revenue collection is beginning to show significant results. Following directives from Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, an enforcement team arrived to seize assets of lease rent defaulters.

In a swift move to avoid confiscation, the leaseholders, Mr. Dinesh Dadlani, Mr. Ravi Kumar Dadlani, Mr. Lakhan Dadlani, and M/s Aastha Jewellers, collectively deposited outstanding dues amounting to Rs 3,56,557. This payment led to the halting of the planned forfeiture proceedings in Ward No. 05 of Zone No. 01.

Intensified Revenue Recovery Campaigns

The Municipal Corporation is consistently conducting campaigns to recover arrears from various sources, including property tax, water charges, lease rent, and other rentals. Under the clear instructions of Commissioner Mrs. Sanskriti Jain, stringent actions are being taken against defaulters to strengthen the corporation's financial health.

The primary aim of these efforts is to ensure that all leaseholders and property owners meet their payment obligations promptly. Similar enforcement actions, such as asset seizure and sealing, have been implemented previously, facilitating substantial revenue recovery.

The corporation administration believes that these effective measures will motivate other outstanding debtors to clear their dues on time, thereby improving municipal finances.
