Public Grievance Session in Damoh Addresses 212 Applications

Damoh district's Collectorate hosted a public grievance redressal session on August 25, 2026, where solutions were provided for public issues. Chaired by Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav, the session heard cases from 212 applicants who had traveled from remote areas.

The Collector issued clear instructions to the concerned officials to resolve the received applications within the stipulated timeframes. A total of 212 applications were considered during this session. Among these, 15 applications related to Aadhaar cards, and the update process was initiated. Additionally, health check-ups were conducted for 150 individuals to provide an initial assessment of their health-related concerns.

Prompt Action on Pending Wage Payments and Disability Certificates

During the public grievance session, cleaning staff and cooks working in the government tribal boys' hostels complained about pending wage payments for six months. The applicants stated they had been providing their services at the hostels for the past ten years. Hearing their plight, Collector Pratap Narayan Yadav ordered the relevant officials from the Tribal Affairs Department to take immediate cognizance of the matter and ensure the prompt disbursement of pending wages.

A specific applicant, Vishwanath Aadivasi, from Karaiya Mohrai village in the Patharia block, drew particular attention. Vishwanath, who has difficulty walking, presented his issue to the Collector regarding obtaining a disability certificate. Collector Yadav immediately instructed the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) to present the applicant before the Medical Board at the District Hospital.

Following essential health examinations by the Medical Board, the disability was confirmed due to a bone-related ailment. Subsequently, under the supervision of specialist doctors, the disability certificate was prepared and immediately issued to the applicant, enabling them to benefit from government schemes and facilities. This swift action was commended.
