According to the revised timeline, students can now submit their applications online until midnight on June 7. The original deadline was scheduled to end at midnight on June 6.

Coordinated Cyberattacks and Portal Hurdles

The decision to extend the dates comes during an active police investigation into multiple coordinated cyberattacks targeting the board's Post-Result Services Portal. This system manages requests from hundreds of thousands of candidates nationwide.

The portal went online at approximately 4:30 AM on June 2, following extensive security testing. However, students soon expressed panic on social media over issues with the Online Student Management (OSM) system, citing blurred answer sheets and missing script pages.

The board revealed that the platform faced extreme traffic pressure right from its launch. Within just two minutes of going live, the system registered nearly 1.5 million access requests and successfully blocked more than 100,000 unauthorized attempts during the same timeframe.

In response to the cyber security breach, the Delhi Police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) to probe the sophisticated digital attacks. The investigation was initiated following an official complaint filed by CBSE.
