'Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan' Launched for Sant Ravidas's 650th Birth Anniversary

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a nationwide 'Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan' (Campaign for Social Harmony Pledge) to mark the 650th birth anniversary of the revered saint, Sant Shiromani Shri Ravidas Ji Maharaj. The campaign aims to spread Sant Ravidas's message of social harmony, equality, and brotherhood across the nation.

The first phase of the campaign in Bhopal commenced with a district-level workshop and seminar. Party officials and workers pledged to disseminate Sant Ravidas's ideals to every household. This special campaign will run from Guru Purnima, July 29, 2026, to Sant Ravidas Jayanti, February 20, 2027.

Workshop Emphasizes Sant Ravidas's Enduring Message

Addressing the workshop at the State BJP office's Media Center, Bhopal City District President Shri Ravindra Yati stated that Sant Ravidas's life remains a significant inspiration for social harmony, equality, and brotherhood. He urged every party worker in Bhopal to make the campaign a historic success by taking it to every home.

Special programs will be organized in all mandals of Bhopal as part of this campaign, with the objective of reaching various sections of society with Sant Ravidas's thoughts and principles. The detailed outline and objectives of the campaign were discussed during the event.

Campaign Strategy and Honoring New Aldermen

State BJP General Secretary Dr. Sumer Singh Solanki highlighted the continued relevance of Sant Ravidas's message for a harmonious and egalitarian society. He emphasized that the BJP's campaign would serve as a powerful medium to convey these ideals to all segments of society.

During the seminar, a detailed roadmap for the campaign was formulated, focusing on effective strategies to spread Sant Ravidas's message of social harmony, equality, and unity. Additionally, all newly appointed Aldermen of Bhopal were felicitated and congratulated.

Key Attendees and Collective Pledge

The significant event was attended by a large number of party officials and workers, including Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, Corporation Chairman Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, District General Secretaries Shri Mukesh Rai, Shri Chetan Bhargav, Shri Pradeep Shekhawat, various district office bearers, Morcha presidents, cell conveners, assembly in-charges, mandal in-charges, mandal presidents, councilors, and members of the campaign's mandal teams.

All attendees collectively took a firm resolve to spread the message of a harmonious society, equality, and social goodwill of Sant Shiromani Ravidas Ji to every citizen and to ensure the success of this nationwide campaign.

'Deepotsav' Campaign Lights Up State Office

As part of the 'Samrasta Sankalp Abhiyan', a special 'Deepotsav' (Festival of Lights) campaign was also organized at the BJP State Office on Wednesday. The event saw participation from State General Secretary and former MP Shri Sumer Singh Solanki, District President Shri Ravindra Yati, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, and State General Secretary of the Scheduled Caste Morcha Adv. Ramsarup Shukraware, along with several other party officials and workers.

Diya lighting was specifically conducted at locations where temples of Sant Guru Ravidas Maharaj are established. In areas without such temples, lamps were lit before portraits of Sant Ravidas in public spaces to convey the message of harmony, equality, and social goodwill.

Public Participation and Reinforcing Social Unity

Party officials, public representatives, and workers participated alongside the general public in these programs, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening unity and social harmony within society.
