Intensified Fire Safety Checks Across Bhopal's Coaching Centres

The Bhopal Municipal Corporation has launched a comprehensive inspection drive to ensure fire safety arrangements in various coaching institutions across the city. On Thursday, the Municipal Corporation's fire brigade personnel assessed fire safety provisions in coaching centres located in prominent areas like Kolar Road and M.P. Nagar.

Relevant institute operators have been granted a deadline of two days to complete all necessary fire-fighting systems and submit an affidavit to this effect. This directive was issued under the instructions of Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Sanskruti Jain.

Focus on Firefighting Equipment and Compliance

The fire brigade teams specifically inspected institutions such as Nursing Academy & Library, Balaji Library, Utkrisht Library on Kolar Road, Urban Guruji (NEET) in Danish Kunj, Concept Coaching in Kotra Sultanaabad, Pratigya Seva Sansthan, IMS Coaching, IMS. Coaching Classes, and Aakash Coaching Classes in M.P. Nagar Zone-2.

The primary objective of these inspections is to ensure citizen safety and verify adherence to fire safety standards. It was observed during the inspections that the installation of firefighting equipment is an ongoing process in many coaching centres.

Institutes Granted 48 Hours for Full Compliance

Information was also gathered regarding the installation and maintenance of fire extinguishers. The concerned coaching centre operators requested an additional two days from the personnel to fully operationalize the fire-fighting systems. Accepting this request, the corporation's team instructed them to complete all fire safety arrangements within the stipulated 48 hours and submit the relevant affidavit.

Strict Action Promised for Non-Compliance

The Municipal Corporation has issued a clear warning: if fire-fighting arrangements are not completed and affidavits are not submitted within the specified two-day period, strict legal action will be taken against the erring institutions as per rules.

This step has been taken to prioritize public safety and ensure preparedness to handle any potential emergency. The corporation's effort aims to ensure that crowded institutions like coaching centres strictly adhere to fire safety standards.
