The Izzatnagar police station in Bareilly has successfully solved a theft incident in Girdharipur village, leading to the arrest of the prime accused, Zeeshan. Recovered from his possession were a stolen water motor, a pump, and ₹3,000 in cash. A juvenile offender has also been taken into custody and will be presented before the Juvenile Justice Board after completing the necessary legal procedures.

The incident occurred on October 11, 2026, at the residence of Mahendra Pal, who lives near the airport in Girdharipur village. Unidentified thieves had stolen a motor and ₹10,000 in cash from Pal's home. Following a complaint from the victim, a case was registered under Section 305 of the Indian Penal Code at the Izzatnagar police station, and an investigation was initiated.

Arrest Made Based on Informant's Tip

During the investigation, on October 14, police received a precise tip from an informant stating that two youths involved in the theft were waiting near the Mahalau bridge to sell the stolen goods. Acting swiftly on this information, a police team apprehended Zeeshan, a resident of Pipariya in the Bhojipura police station area, from the scene.

During interrogation, the accused confessed to their crime. They revealed that they had divided ₹8,000 of the stolen ₹10,000 between themselves, and ₹3,000 of this amount has been recovered by the police. Following the recovery, Section 317(2) of the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita) has been added to the registered case. The police are continuing their efforts to recover the remaining cash.

The contributions of Station House Officer Suresh Chandra Gautam, Sub-Inspector Deepak Verma, Head Constable Sonu, and Constable Rahul were commendable in this significant operation. The police are striving to ensure that criminals involved in theft incidents receive the strictest possible punishment.
