In Balrampur district, under the strict directives of Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh, a comprehensive operation against criminals and warrant holders has led to a significant success for the police in the Maharajganj Terai police station area. Police have arrested two individuals with existing warrants in an old assault case from their residences.

This action is considered a crucial step towards strengthening law and order in the district and curbing criminal activities. According to information released by the police, the arrested accused have been identified as Md. Jalil son of Abdul Rehman and Rajarams son of Satgur Yadav. Both are residents of Mirzapur village in the Maharajganj Terai police station area.

Warrant Holders Apprehended After Tip-Off

A case was previously registered against these individuals under assault and other related sections, following which the court had issued warrants against them. The arrest of these absconding accused after a long period has brought significant relief to the police. Acting on a tip-off from an informant, a special police team was formed under the leadership of the Maharajganj Terai Station House Officer.

The team immediately raided Mirzapur village and apprehended both absconding accused from their homes. Police officials stated that after the arrest, legal formalities including medical examinations and recording of statements have been completed. Subsequently, both warrant holders were dispatched to the First Class Magistrate Court under heavy security for further proceedings.

The arrest has created a stir among wanted criminals active in the area. Superintendent of Police Martand Prakash Singh commended the Maharajganj Terai police team for this action and stated that the operation will continue.
