Community Meeting for Festival Preparedness Held
In preparation for the upcoming Navratri, Durga Puja, Ramlila, and Dussehra festivals, a significant meeting was convened on Monday at the auditorium of M.L.K. P.G. College. The objective was to ensure the peaceful and orderly conduct of these celebrations.
The meeting was presided over by the President of the Ideal Nagar Palika Parishad Balrampur, Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh Dhiru, and was attended by officials from various committees and municipal officers.
Financial Assistance and Honors for Puja Committees
During the gathering, Municipal President Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh Dhiru distributed a financial aid of ₹2,500 to over two hundred Durga Puja committees in the city area. An additional thirty-one committees received financial assistance in the Municipal Council hall, in the presence of Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh Dhiru, DP Singh, and Sanjay Shukla.
As a gesture of honor, all committees were also presented with modern puja thalis and angavastras (stoles).
Special Arrangements for Festival Success
“Navratri and Dussehra are integral parts of our cultural and religious traditions. It is our collective responsibility to ensure these events are celebrated with mutual brotherhood and a harmonious atmosphere,” stated President Dr. Dhiru.
He assured that the Nagar Palika Parishad would make special arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, lighting, and drainage systems during the festivals. Regular cleaning of roads around puja pandals and Ramlila sites, along with full attention to the convenience of devotees, will be prioritized.
Emphasis on Coordination and Cooperation
The Municipal President urged all puja and Ramlila committees to maintain active coordination with the administration. He emphasized that the cooperation of the committees is essential to prevent any inconvenience to devotees attending religious events.
Various committee presidents and general secretaries, along with municipal officials and staff, were present at the meeting. All representatives present expressed their gratitude for the support and honor extended by the Municipal President. The municipal administration clarified that all necessary steps are being taken to improve public facilities and maintain the festive spirit.
