Balrampur Authorities Urged to Ban DJs from Processions Amid Safety Concerns

Request for DJ Ban in Balrampur Processions
In a bid to enhance safety and order during upcoming religious processions and parades in Balrampur town, various social and religious organizations have formally requested the administration to impose a complete ban on DJs. This appeal follows decisions made during a consultative meeting of all communities, led by Dr. Dhirendra Pratap Singh ‘Dhiru’, Chairman of the Adarsh Nagar Palika Parishad.
Representatives of these organizations submitted a joint memorandum to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, emphasizing the paramount importance of the town's peace and public interest. They have urged that DJ vehicles be prohibited from entering the town during these processions.
Proposed Safety Measures for Processions
The memorandum also suggested that DJ vehicles be stopped at the town's major entry points, including Gonda Road, Bahraich Road, Utraula Road, and Tulsipur Road, under strict police surveillance. Additionally, a proposal has been put forth to cap the maximum height of idols to be included in processions at 12 feet.
The electricity department has also been requested to ensure that power lines along the routes are safely adjusted at a height exceeding 12 feet to prevent any potential accidents. Organizers have been warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found violating these proposed regulations.
Key Stakeholders and Future Steps
Several prominent organizations, including the Shri Shri 108 Satya Pracharini Ramlila Committee, Gurudwara Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Zuluse Muhammadi Committee, and Udyog Vyapar Mandal, have actively participated in this initiative. Dignitaries such as Mahant Brijanand Maharaj and Haji Nabhan Khan were also present.
The organizations have appealed to the administration to promptly consider these suggestions and issue detailed guidelines soon, enabling all organizers to conduct upcoming events peacefully and securely.
