Grand Procession of Baba Baidyanath Captivates Locals

The magnificent royal palanquin procession of Baba Baidyanath was a special center of attraction for the townspeople today. Emerging amidst a shower of flowers, the procession was recognized for its religious and cultural significance.

Thousands of devotees emerged from their homes to be part of this auspicious journey, where they offered prayers and received the blessings of Baba Baidyanath according to rituals. This annual festival, dedicated to Baba Baidyanath, is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion every year.

During the procession, devotees from their homes chanted slogans for Baba Baidyanath and expressed their devotion by walking ahead of the palanquin. Aarti and pujas were also organized by devotees at several locations, filling the atmosphere with devotion.

Administrative and Civic Involvement

The administrative machinery remained fully active throughout the procession. SDM Ajay Pratap Patel, Tehsildar Annarika Kajotiya, Municipal CMO Abhishek Jain, and other staff members offered garlands to the palanquin and respectfully carried it on their shoulders.

The police force also provided diligent services for the smooth conduct of the procession, ensuring a peaceful and organized environment. The municipality team also played a significant role in maintaining cleanliness by conducting a cleanliness drive.

Captivating Tableau Presentations

Several tableaux were particularly attractive in this royal palanquin procession, captivating the hearts of the devotees. A mesmerizing tableau of Shiva-Parvati alongside Baba Baidyanath Mahadev was the main center of attraction.

This tableau, with traditional costumes and lifelike idols, reminded devotees of mythological tales. Meanwhile, women from 'Divya Nari Shakti' depicted Shiva-Parvati while riding a bullock cart, presenting a unique spectacle. This was a beautiful display of women's power that drew everyone's attention.

These women further enlivened the devotional atmosphere with music, kirtans, conch shells, and the rhythm of dholak and manjiras. Their spirited performances injected new enthusiasm into the procession. Additionally, a tableau of Lord Nandi, revered as Baba Baidyanath's vehicle, was also a special point of attraction for devotees.

Throughout the procession, devotees chanted slogans in awe of each tableau.

Emphasis on Public Hygiene

As part of the cleanliness campaign conducted by the municipality, continuous cleaning arrangements were ensured by cleaning vehicles and staff along the route of the palanquin procession. This ensured that no disorder spread during the procession and public hygiene was maintained.
