32 Girl Students Selected for Divisional Sports Competition from Kasturba Gandhi Vidyalaya

Sports Selection Trial Held in Balrampur

A significant sports selection trial was organized in Balrampur on Wednesday for the girls of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Schools. The trial was conducted in compliance with the directives from the Director General, School Education and State Project Director, Uttar Pradesh.

The primary objective of this trial was to select talented students at the district level to participate in the Divisional Sports Competition. A total of 60 girls enthusiastically participated, and based on their outstanding performances, 32 were selected.

Residential Training Camp Enhances Skills

To further hone the sports skills of the selected girls and enhance their coordination, a seven-day residential sports training camp was organized at the Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls Vidyalaya, Dehat. The camp provided intensive training in disciplines such as Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Athletics.

During the camp, coaches Rashmi Singh and Richa Shukla provided excellent training, focusing not only on the technical aspects of the sports but also on developing the students' physical fitness, discipline, team spirit, and competitive skills. This residential training aims to prepare the girls for superior performance on the field.

Officials Applaud Talent Nurturing Opportunities

The closing ceremony of the camp was graced by the presence of the In-charge District Basic Education Officer, Ashok Pathak, and the District Coordinator (Girl Child Education). Wardens Uma Shrivastava and Pushplata, Principal Priyanka, Physical Education Teachers Annu Yadav and Richa Shukla, District Scout Master Mahmoodul Haq, District Sports Teacher Radha Mohan Pandey, Sudip Srivastava, and Office Assistant Ashutosh Mishra all played crucial roles in the success of the event.

At the end of the program, certificates were distributed to all the selected girls, along with best wishes for their bright future. The attending officials highlighted the importance of such training camps, stating they offer a valuable opportunity for talented girls from rural areas to refine their sporting abilities and prepare for district, divisional, state, and national level competitions.
