Online Applications Open for Agricultural Machinery Subsidies
The state government has launched an online booking process for subsidies on agricultural machinery to promote mechanization among farmers in the Farrukhabad district. Eligible farmers have until midnight on August 10, 2026, to submit their applications through the departmental portal.
Government Schemes Support Mechanization
This initiative is part of key government schemes such as the National Agriculture Development Scheme (RKVY), Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM), and the Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residues (CRM). The online booking process commenced on July 16, 2026.
Subsidies Available for Modern Farm Equipment
Farmers can avail subsidies on a range of modern and advanced agricultural machinery. This includes:
- Super Seeders
- Custom Hiring Centers
- Harrows
- Cultivators
- Rotavators
- Straw Reapers
- Agricultural Drones
- Multi-Crop Threshers
- Power Chaff Cutters
- Combine Harvesters
The use of these machines is expected to reduce farming costs and increase productivity.
Online Booking and Selection Process
Registration on the departmental portal is mandatory for farmers to benefit from the scheme. Previously registered farmers can apply directly via the ‘Yantra Booking Prarambh’ link on the departmental website.
According to the Deputy Director of Agriculture, a token amount of ₹2,500 is required for machinery with subsidies up to ₹1 lakh, and ₹5,000 for those with subsidies exceeding ₹1 lakh. After token amount verification, beneficiaries will be selected through a transparent e-lottery system.
Appeal to Farmers
The Deputy Director of Agriculture urged all eligible farmers in the district to submit their online applications by the deadline of August 10, 2026. He emphasized that using modern machinery will enhance farming efficiency and increase farmer income, aligning with the government's agricultural reform goals.
