The scooter was carrying 25-year-old Yogendra Kumar Shriwas, his wife Komal Shriwas, and their three-year-old daughter, Anvi. When Yogendra objected to the reckless riding and demanded medical treatment, the confrontation turned physical.

After Yogendra removed the motorcycle's key, one of the riders rushed to his home in the nearby Toria locality. Within minutes, the accused returned with more than half a dozen youths armed with sticks and iron rods to launch a targeted attack on the family.

Mob Violence and Stone Pelting Escalate Chaos

The mob severely vandalized the family's scooter and assaulted the couple. When Komal tried to shield her husband, she was also beaten, and the attackers forcibly snatched her three-year-old daughter from her lap, throwing the child onto the road.

The incident triggered massive local tension, leading to heavy stone-pelting that broke the windows of multiple vehicles. A young man in the crowd suffered a split skull due to the flying stones as chaos reigned near the police post.

To control the deteriorating situation, additional police reinforcement had to be called in from three different stations:

Seeing the heavy police force approaching, the miscreants locked their houses and fled with their families. Local residents also reported that several rounds of aerial firing took place, though police have not yet officially confirmed this.

The City Kotwali Police have registered two separate cases to initiate legal action against the perpetrators. The first case was filed on the direct complaint of the victim, Yogendra.
