A 19-year-old youth died under suspicious circumstances on Thursday morning at the Farrukhabad roadways bus stop. He succumbed immediately after alighting the bus, having suddenly fallen ill and vomited blood, causing a stir at the bus stop.
Identification and Circumstances
The deceased has been identified as Manish, son of Shivratan Singh. Reports indicate that Manish was returning home with his two companions, Sundaram, son of Pramod Kumar Singh (resident of Gori Pharana, Kannauj), and Sunny, son of Jaipal (resident of Bandijor, Hardoi), after working in Panipat, Haryana.
Sudden Illness on Bus
Around 7:30 AM on Thursday morning, all three boarded a bus from the Farrukhabad roadways bus stop towards Kanpur. Shortly after the journey began, Manish's health took a sudden turn for the worse, and he started vomiting blood. Observing his deteriorating condition, his friends immediately helped him off the bus and attempted to take him to the hospital.
However, he passed away on the spot immediately after getting off the bus. The incident has raised questions about the timeliness of police response.
Questions Over Police Response
The deceased's family and relatives were informed of the incident. Upon receiving the news, the family arrived at the scene in a four-wheeler and took the body home with them. Eyewitnesses expressed concern that despite a police outpost being located near the roadways bus stop, no police personnel arrived at the scene for a considerable time after the incident was reported.
The youth's body remained near the roadways inquiry office for approximately half an hour before his family took him away.
