Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas Observed in Bhopal

On the occasion of Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas, observed annually by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal, various programs were organized across the seven blocks of District Veer Savarkar in Bhopal on Friday, August 14, 2026. Youth, activists, and common citizens participated in large numbers, engaging in discussions on crucial topics such as national unity, cultural heritage, and historical consciousness.

The event commenced with the lighting of lamps and floral tributes before portraits of Bharat Mata and a map of Akhand Bharat. Speakers emphasized that the concept of Akhand Bharat extends beyond geographical boundaries, symbolizing India's cultural, spiritual, and historical consciousness. They stressed the importance for the new generation to understand the historical circumstances of the nation's division to grasp the continuity of Indian history and culture.

Youth Called to Action: Study Glorious History and Contribute to National Interest

Speakers specifically addressed the youth, urging them to deeply study the nation's glorious history. They called upon the youth to play a positive role in safeguarding national interest and social unity. The importance of strengthening mutual harmony, service, and dedication to the nation was highlighted as a collective responsibility for every citizen.

The speakers described the diversity of Indian culture as its greatest strength, which has historically united the Indian society despite different languages, traditions, and regions. They underscored the need for youth to remain aware of history and culture to pass on this invaluable heritage to future generations. The active participation of women from 'Matrashakti' and Durga Vahini demonstrated their significant role in nation-building.

Among the dignitaries present were Vijay Jain, Treasurer of VHP Madhya Bharat Province; Jeevan Sharma, Department Minister of VHP Bhopal; Department Co-Minister Hariom Sharma; Department Convener of Bajrang Dal Bhopal Abhijeet Singh Rajput; Department Co-conveners Kamal Pipariya and Abhishek Sharma; District Minister of VHP Nitin Sahu; and District Co-Minister Vijendra Singh Parihar, along with other office bearers. They explained that the concept of Akhand Bharat represents a deep cultural and spiritual unity, transcending geopolitical divisions. Citing historical contexts, speakers clarified how the core consciousness of Indian civilization has remained intact despite various invasions and political changes, serving as the unifying force of the nation, which is essential for today's youth to understand.

At the conclusion of the programs, all attendees took a pledge, expressing their commitment to national unity, integrity, and the preservation of cultural heritage.
