Youth Beaten to Death in Bareilly Over Old Grudge

Bareilly: In a shocking incident in the Subhashnagar police station area of Bareilly, a young man was brutally murdered late on the night of October 22, 2026, around 1:30 AM, reportedly as an act of revenge for an old dispute. The police acted swiftly, arresting two brothers, Vikas Srivastava and Akash Srivastava, residents of the Shanti Vihar area, in connection with the homicide.

The deceased, Sanjay Saxena, originally from Dagroli village in Fatehganj East, worked as a driver in Noida. He had come to Bareilly to celebrate the Dussehra festival at his sister's home. As he approached Holi Chowk in Shanti Vihar, the accused allegedly surrounded him.

Brutal Attack Leads to Death

Driven by an old-standing enmity, the accused allegedly launched a savage assault on Sanjay with sticks and batons, leaving him critically injured. His family members immediately rushed the injured Sanjay Saxena to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Following the incident, the accused fled the scene. Based on a complaint from the victim's side, the Subhashnagar police registered a case, crime number 733/2026, under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.

Accused Apprehended Based on Informant Tip
