The highly anticipated film 'Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups', starring popular actor Yash, has made a significant mark even before its theatrical release. Advance bookings for the movie have crossed the ₹30 crore gross milestone, with approximately 6.46 lakh tickets sold, according to trade tracker Sacnilk.

While the initial response is robust, 'Toxic' is still trailing behind Yash's previous massive hit, 'KGF: Chapter 2'. The 2022 blockbuster had secured an impressive sum of over ₹80 crore from its pre-sales alone, setting a formidable benchmark.

Advance Booking Figures Detailed

The current gross collection for 'Toxic' stands at ₹33.07 crore, which includes figures for blocked seats. When excluding blocked seats, the gross advance booking revenue totals ₹24.51 crore. This figure reflects strong audience interest across various regions and languages.

Karnataka has emerged as the leading state in advance ticket sales, contributing ₹15.65 crore gross across all languages. Following Karnataka, Maharashtra is the second-highest contributor with ₹3.05 crore gross. Other key regions include Delhi (₹2.13 crore gross), Uttar Pradesh (₹1.67 crore gross), and West Bengal (₹1.63 crore gross).

Language-wise Performance

The film's pre-sales performance also shows a varied distribution across languages. The Kannada version has garnered the highest pre-sales with ₹11.98 crore gross. Close behind is the Hindi version, which has collected ₹11.72 crore gross. The combined earnings from the Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam versions amount to ₹79.18 lakh gross.

Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, 'Toxic' features a stellar ensemble cast alongside Yash, including Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, and Rukmini Vasanth. The crime action drama is set to captivate audiences with Yash portraying a dual role as both Raya and his son Rumi.

Release and Certification

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has awarded 'Toxic' an 'A' certificate, indicating its suitability for adult audiences. The film is scheduled for its grand theatrical release on August 26. The substantial advance booking numbers suggest a promising opening weekend for Yash's latest cinematic venture.
