Xiaomi has officially unveiled two new color variants for its highly anticipated 18 Fold foldable smartphone, adding to the previously announced red model. The new finishes, Black and Warm Gold White, offer consumers expanded choices for the device set to launch in China on September 7.

The addition of these new colors comes as Xiaomi prepares for the domestic launch of the 18 Fold. The company has positioned the Black variant as a sophisticated, business-oriented option, while the Warm Gold White is presented as a more elegant and premium choice.

Design and Display Innovations

The Xiaomi 18 Fold will feature a distinctive mid-fold design characterized by a narrow, symmetrical hinge and a flat surrounding frame with rounded corners. This design approach aims to blend aesthetic appeal with functional durability.

According to reports, the foldable device will boast impressive display technology. The external display is expected to measure 5.38 inches, with the internal screen unfolding to a generous 7.58 inches. Both displays will utilize Xiaomi's Super Pixel technology and achieve an exceptional peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits, promising vivid visuals even in bright conditions.

Advanced Camera and Performance Specs

Photography enthusiasts can anticipate a powerful camera system on the Xiaomi 18 Fold. The rear setup is rumored to include a high-resolution 200 MP main sensor, developed in collaboration with Leica. This is complemented by a 50 MP 3.5x periscope telephoto lens and another 50 MP ultra-wide camera, offering versatile shooting capabilities.

Under the hood, the 18 Fold is slated to debut cutting-edge hardware. It is expected to be powered by the new Xring O3 flagship chipset and feature LPDDR6 RAM, signifying a significant leap in performance and efficiency. Powering the device will be a substantial 6,000mAh battery, supported by 67W wired and 50W wireless charging capabilities.

Market Availability Limited

Despite the advanced specifications and new color options, prospective buyers outside of China will face a significant limitation. The Xiaomi 18 Fold is exclusively slated for availability in the Chinese market, with its formal presentation scheduled for September 7.
