Gruesome Murder in Brijbihar Colony

Guna, Madhya Pradesh - A heinous murder has shaken Guna city, with a 26-year-old woman, identified as Lakshmi Sen, found brutally murdered on Wednesday night. Her body was discovered with her throat slit by a sharp weapon in a house near her own in the Brijbihar Colony, under the Cant police station area.

The horrific incident has created an atmosphere of fear in the entire locality. Upon receiving the information, Superintendent of Police (CSP) Saifa Hashmi and Station House Officer Anup Bhargav, along with police personnel, immediately reached the crime scene. The officials inspected the site and gathered preliminary evidence.

Suspected Husband on the Run

Initial police investigations revealed that the deceased, Lakshmi Sen, had been missing from home for approximately 15 days. A missing person report had been filed at the Kotwali police station, and she was recovered from Himachal Pradesh on October 16. Her brutal murder, occurring just days after her return home, has raised numerous questions.

Based on preliminary investigation and the circumstances at the crime scene, the primary suspicion of the police lies on the deceased's husband, Rakesh Sen, who has been absconding since the incident. The accused husband's mobile phone is also reportedly switched off, making it difficult to track his movements.

Investigation into Motive Underway

Police suspect that a serious dispute or conflict may have occurred between Lakshmi and Rakesh before the murder. The investigation is also focusing on the possibility of illicit relationships as a motive for the crime. However, the exact cause of the murder will only be confirmed after the post-mortem report is received.

The police have sent the body of the deceased to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination to be conducted in the presence of her family. The Cant police station has registered a case and dispatched multiple teams in different directions to search for the absconding accused, Rakesh Sen.

Ongoing Police Operation

Police are continuously conducting raids at various suspected locations. A detailed investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing, and the police are confident of solving the case soon.
