Major Opium Bust in Neemuch

Continuing its relentless crackdown on narcotics, the Madhya Pradesh Police have achieved a significant breakthrough in Neemuch City. Authorities have arrested a female suspect in possession of 11 kilograms and 700 grams of illegal opium, with an estimated value of 58 lakh 50 thousand rupees (approximately 5.85 million rupees).

This successful operation marks a crucial step towards the state's goal of becoming a drug-free region. Information gathered indicates that a police team from the Neemuch City Police Station was on patrol in the Girdouda area, near the Amroad-Darak Warehouse, on September 5th during crime investigation.

Suspect Apprehended During Patrol

During their patrol, the police team noticed a woman exhibiting suspicious behavior. Upon being stopped and searched, the contents of her belongings revealed a substantial quantity of the illicit substance. A total of 11 kg 700 grams of illegal narcotic, opium, was recovered and immediately seized by the police.

Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation

In connection with this seizure, a case has been registered against the arrested woman under Section 8/18 of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Neemuch City Police Station, and an investigation has commenced. Preliminary questioning of the suspect suggests her involvement in the trafficking of this illegal opium.
