New Subjects for West Bengal Students

The West Bengal government is set to introduce new subjects at the Higher Secondary level. This change will take effect from the next academic session.

Council Assisted Courses (CAC)

Several subjects introduced in recent years will be brought under Council Assisted Courses (CAC).

WBCHSE President Chiranjib Bhattacharrya made the announcement on Friday.

"The move is aimed to boost student engagement and align learning with emerging academic and career fields," said Bhattacharrya.

Online Classes Beyond School Hours

The WBCHSE will conduct regular online classes for students outside of school hours.

Subjects included under CAC are:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AIDS)
  • Applied Artificial Intelligence (APAI)
  • Cyber Security (CBST)
