Sanitation Lapses Uncovered at Pratap Hostel

In anticipation of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia's visit to Guna on September 17, Chief Municipal Officer Shailesh Awasthi inspected the proposed public meeting venue at Pratap Hostel. He expressed strong displeasure over the pervasive dirt and disarray throughout the premises.

Consequently, the Ward In-charge, Dev Kumar Jha, who was found absent during the inspection, has been immediately suspended. A team of administrative officials had visited Pratap Hostel on Wednesday to assess preparations and security arrangements for the public meeting.

Rampant Neglect Leads to Strict Action

During the inspection, significant deficiencies in the facility's cleanliness were exposed. Officials expressed deep dissatisfaction upon seeing piles of garbage, leading to the immediate issuance of administrative directives. It was discovered that waste was not being disposed of regularly.

In response to the poor sanitation, the Chief Municipal Officer took stringent action against Ward In-charge Dev Kumar Jha. This move has sent ripples through the city's sanitation department, emphasizing zero tolerance for negligence.

Cleanliness Drive Intensified City-Wide

Following the suspension, Chief Municipal Officer Shailesh Awasthi stressed that any level of negligence regarding the city's cleanliness will not be tolerated. He has issued strict instructions to all area supervisors and overseers to ensure the sanitation system is fully functional.

Officials have also been advised to remain vigilant in light of upcoming festivals. The administration considers maintaining cleanliness in public spaces a primary responsibility and will not accept any shortcomings. Surprise inspections of sanitation systems in other parts of the city are also planned to ensure expected improvements.

Relevant authorities emphasized that a clean venue is imperative for the smooth success of upcoming events. Therefore, all concerned employees must fulfill their responsibilities with utmost integrity.
