Grand Kanwar Yatra Held in Karond

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal's Bhagatsingh block organized a grand Kanwar Yatra in Karond, witnessing the participation of thousands of devotees. This significant religious event successfully promoted a spirit of devotion and unity among local communities.

The procession saw a large turnout of officials and workers from the VHP and Bajrang Dal, along with sisters from Durga Vahini and local residents, indicating the event's widespread reach and popularity. The journey commenced on August 8th from Budhni Ghat, a sacred spot situated on the banks of the holy Narmada River.

Journey from Budhni Ghat to Karond

From Budhni Ghat, hundreds of Bajrang Dal workers embarked on the Kanwar Yatra on foot, carrying sacred water from the Narmada River in specially prepared kanwars. The pilgrimage, which spanned several days, culminated in Karond on the morning of the reported date.

Upon reaching Karond, the Kanwar Yatra was paraded through the town and surrounding colonies with even greater grandeur, allowing a significant number of local residents to join the devotional celebration. The yatra's route facilitated widespread participation and community involvement in the religious festivities.

Concludes with Jalabhishek at Mankameshwar Shiva Temple

The Kanwar Yatra officially concluded with a Jalabhishek ceremony at the ancient Mankameshwar Shiva Temple in Palasi. This temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, was thronged by thousands of devotees for the occasion.

After reaching the temple premises, all devotees performed the Abhishek of Lord Bholenath with the holy water from the Narmada River, following all religious rituals. It is believed that performing Jalabhishek on the Shivling during the month of Sawan brings immense pleasure to Lord Shiva and fulfills the devotees' wishes.

Spiritual Atmosphere and Key Organizers

Throughout the event, a devotional and spiritual atmosphere prevailed across the region, with devotional songs and chants echoing. Numerous key officials and workers played an active role in the successful organization of this Kanwar Yatra.

Prominent among those involved were Abhishek Sharma (Joint Convener, Bajrang Dal Bhopal Division), Nitin Sahu (District Minister, VHP), Vijendra Singh Parihar (Joint Secretary), Narendra Vishwakarma, Rakesh Rayakwar (District Joint Convener), Chanchal Dongre, Padma Dubey (Matri Shakti Joint Convenor), Satish Vishwakarma, Manish Lodhi, Akash Sharma, Sunil Meena, and Sheetal Vanshkar, along with hundreds of other workers.

Their tireless efforts and dedication ensured the yatra's successful completion, offering a memorable religious experience for the local populace and significantly contributing to the preservation of Hindu traditions and beliefs.
