Waterlogging Cripples Access in Etawah

A severe waterlogging issue at a culvert near pole number 1148/22 in the North Central Railway's Etawah section has created a crisis. The persistent water accumulation has completely blocked the main access route for at least five to six villages, causing significant hardship to local residents.

'Give Us Passage or Give Us Death' Movement

To highlight this critical problem and demand a solution, villagers from the affected areas have decided to organize a phased hunger strike and sit-in protest under the banner of 'Rasta Do Ya Maut' (Give Us Passage or Give Us Death). Deepak Raj, a social worker and convener of 'Mission Ekdil Block', stated that this movement is intended to exert pressure on the administration.

Daily Life Severely Affected

Villagers vow to continue their protest until a smooth and safe passage is provided. The demonstration is scheduled to take place at the problem site in Gram Panchayat Shekhupur Jakholi, Bardhpura Block, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The waterlogging is severely impacting daily life, including children's school commutes, emergency patient transport, and the supply of essential goods.

Appeal for Administrative Cooperation

The affected public of this region expects full cooperation from the government and administration. Our primary plea is for the local administration to work with the railway authorities to find a permanent solution and help clear the blocked culvert.

Deepak Raj further appealed for cooperation, emphasizing that once the passage is cleared, villagers can resume their normal lives, which is currently impossible. This protest is a significant step towards conveying their demands to the government.
