‘Vadh 2’ Starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta to Release on February 6, 2026

The sequel to the critically acclaimed thriller Vadh is officially on its way. Titled Vadh 2, the film will release in theatres on February 6, 2026, the makers announced on Monday.

Produced by Luv Films and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, who also helmed the first installment, the sequel will once again feature Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in lead roles.

Announcing the release date with a motion poster, the production house wrote:

“A new struggle, a new story. What is right? What is wrong? Uncover the truth on February 6. #Vadh2 In Cinemas 6th February 2026.”

The first Vadh, which hit theatres on December 9, 2022, was praised for its gripping storytelling and stellar performances. It told the story of Shambhunath “Shambhu” Mishra (Sanjay Mishra), a retired schoolteacher from Gwalior who, along with his wife Manju (Neena Gupta), faces mounting financial and emotional strain after borrowing money from a ruthless local moneylender, Prajapati Pandey (Saurabh Sachdeva). When desperation leads Shambhu to commit murder, the couple becomes entangled in a tense web of deception and survival involving police officer Shakti Singh (Manav Vij) and corrupt politician Rathore (played by Sandhu).

Vadh is currently available for streaming on Prime Video, where it continues to enjoy a strong following among fans of realistic, slow-burn thrillers.

With Vadh 2, Sandhu promises to explore deeper moral dilemmas and the psychological aftermath of the events from the first film.

Luv Films, which is also producing the upcoming De De Pyaar De 2 starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu, R. Madhavan, and Rakul Preet Singh, is expected to share more details about the cast and storyline of Vadh 2 in the coming months.
