Women's Commission Vice Chairperson Reviews Health Services in Balrampur

Smt. Charu Chaudhary, Vice Chairperson (with Minister of State rank) of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, reviewed various critical aspects concerning women and girls in the district of Balrampur on Wednesday. She conducted a thorough inspection of arrangements related to education, health, safety, and empowerment, issuing necessary directives to the concerned officials.

Interaction with Students and Empowerment Drive

During her visit, she interacted with students, inspiring them to be self-reliant and aware of their rights. Smt. Chaudhary engaged with students at City Montessori College, Vishunipur, Bhagwati Ganj. In this interactive session, she elaborated on the importance of education, women's safety, the necessity of self-reliance, and women's rights.

She encouraged the students to move forward with confidence and to avail themselves of the benefits of various welfare schemes and support services run by the government.

Inspection of District Women's Hospital Health Facilities

As part of her tour, the Vice Chairperson also inspected the District Women's Hospital. She met with pregnant women and other patients admitted to the hospital to gather information about the health facilities and quality of treatment being provided.

On this occasion, she distributed baby kits to the mothers of newborns and wished for the good health of mothers and infants. During the inspection, she also assessed the hospital's cleanliness, availability of medicines, attendance of doctors and health workers, and their behavior towards patients.

She directed the concerned officials to ensure timely and quality health services for pregnant women and newborns. Emphasis was also placed on maintaining sensitive and respectful behavior towards patients and their attendants.

Smt. Chaudhary clarified that providing better health services to women and children is among the government's highest priorities, and therefore, negligence at any level will not be tolerated.

Public Hearing for Women and Grievance Redressal

At a women's public hearing held in the Vikas Bhawan auditorium, Vice Chairperson Smt. Charu Chaudhary seriously listened to a total of 15 complaints presented by women. She obtained detailed information from the concerned officials regarding each case and directed the timely and quality resolution of all received applications.

She particularly emphasized the need for immediate and sensitive action in cases of woman harassment and those related to women's welfare. Smt. Chaudhary stated that there should be no unnecessary delays in resolving complaints so that women do not have to struggle to find solutions to their problems.

She instructed the relevant departments to establish mutual coordination and ensure effective action on women's complaints.

Visit to Old Age Home and One-Stop Center

During her tour, Smt. Chaudhary also inspected the old age home. She interacted with the senior citizens residing there and inquired about their health, food, and other available facilities. She instructed the officials to pay special attention to the needs of the elderly and to provide them with a better environment and necessary facilities.

Additionally, she visited the One-Stop Center to assess the support and services being provided to victimized women. Inspecting the arrangements, she directed that prompt assistance be provided to victimized women in cases related to women's safety and protection, and that sensitive and respectful treatment be ensured for every woman.

The Vice Chairperson reiterated that the government is running various schemes and programs to ensure the safety, dignity, health, and self-reliance of women and girls. She instructed the concerned departments to effectively deliver the benefits of these schemes to eligible women and to maintain mutual coordination in the implementation of programs related to women's welfare and safety.
