UP Board 2027: District Magistrate Issues Directives on Exam Centre Selection in Balrampur

The process for selecting examination centers for the High School and Intermediate board examinations to be conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) in 2027 has accelerated. A crucial meeting held at the Balrampur Collectorate auditorium, presided over by District Magistrate Dr. Vipin Kumar Jain, saw detailed guidelines being issued.

The primary objective of the meeting was to select appropriate centers for conducting the examinations, ensuring transparency and strict adherence to set standards. The District Magistrate issued clear instructions to officials that the selection of exam centers must fully comply with the standards set by the government. He emphasized the need for a thorough assessment of the proposed centers' capacity, the school's infrastructure, and available basic facilities.

Ensuring Smooth Operations and Facilities

Instructions were given to mandatorily ensure basic necessities such as adequate furniture, lighting, clean drinking water, toilet facilities, and uninterrupted electricity supply for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the examinations. These facilities are crucial for creating a conducive environment for students.

Emphasis on Security and Transparency

Regarding security, the District Magistrate ordered verification of the active status of CCTV cameras and voice recorders at all examination centers. He stated that any negligence in the monitoring system would not be tolerated. He also stressed the paramount importance of preventing any form of unfair practices during the examination period.

The District Inspector of Schools was directed to conduct a physical verification of the proposed examination centers and complete the entire process in a time-bound manner. This step is vital for confirming the suitability of the chosen venues.

Priority for Special Category Students

During the meeting, the District Magistrate placed particular emphasis on giving the highest priority to the convenience of female students and those coming from remote areas in the examination center selection process. The main aim is to ensure that no student has to travel an unnecessarily long distance to reach their examination center, thereby making their commute easier.

The administration's top priority is to conduct the board examinations in the district without any malpractice, peacefully, and in an organized manner. All concerned departments have been instructed to complete their necessary preparations in a timely manner to achieve this goal. The meeting was attended by all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, the District Inspector of Schools, and members of the examination center selection committee of the district.

The administration has clarified that any negligence at any level in the center selection process will not be tolerated, so as to maintain the integrity of the education system.
