Two Dead, Two Injured in Fierce Motorcycle Collision in Farrukhabad

Fatal Motorcycle Collision on Sankisa Road

Farrukhabad, July 26, 2026 – A tragic road accident on Sankisa Road in Farrukhabad on Monday resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left two others injured. The collision occurred near the Sheikhpur turn when two motorcycles, attempting to overtake a truck, collided head-on.

The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Jatav, 30, a resident of village Kataiaya, and Haribhan Singh, 60, from village Naya Nagla. Both were rushed to the Mohammadabad Community Health Centre (CHC) with severe injuries, where doctors pronounced them dead.

Details of the Accident

The incident involved Pankaj Jatav, who was returning from Mohammadabad market with pillion rider Avadhesh Gautam, 40, also from Kataiaya village. While attempting to overtake a truck near Sheikhpur turn on Sankisa Road, their motorcycle collided head-on with another oncoming motorcycle.

The second motorcycle was carrying Haribhan Singh from Naya Nagla village in the Nawabganj police station area, along with his 18-year-old nephew, Aman. The impact of the collision was so severe that Pankaj Jatav and Haribhan Singh sustained critical injuries.

Following information from passersby, an ambulance transported all the injured to the CHC Mohammadabad. Dr. Sunny Mishra, the doctor on duty, confirmed the deaths of Pankaj Jatav and Haribhan Singh after examination.

Injured Condition and Further Action

Aman, who was injured in the accident, has been referred to the district hospital, Ram Manohar Lohia, due to his critical condition. Avadhesh Kumar received primary treatment at the CHC. Sub-Inspector Laxman Singh has completed the inquest proceedings for both deceased and sent their bodies for post-mortem examination.

Upon receiving the information, Station House Officer Amode Kumar Singh, along with police personnel, arrived at CHC Mohammadabad, gathered details of the incident, and initiated an investigation.

Family Grief

Pankaj Jatav was a daily wage laborer and the sole son of his father, Bhagwan Das. He is survived by his mother, Shakuntala Devi, wife, Geeta Devi, and a three-year-old son. The news of the accident sent waves of grief through his family.

Haribhan Singh was on his way to his in-laws' residence in Nagla Anoop with his nephew Aman. Haribhan Singh was a farmer. He is survived by his wife, Anita, and a son, Bhopal, who is differently-abled. This tragic event has cast a pall of mourning over his family.
