Two Arrested with Illegal Weapons in Mehgaon, Planning Criminal Activities

Police Operation Thwarts Criminal Plans

In a significant operation, the Mehgaon police station in the Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh has arrested two youths in possession of illegal weapons. This action was carried out as part of a special campaign directed by Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Verma, Additional Superintendent of Police Pradeep Patel, and SDOP Mehgaon Sanjay Kocha.

Under the leadership of Station House Officer Ravindra Sharma, this crackdown has curbed individuals reportedly planning to commit major offenses. The ongoing campaign specifically targets the apprehension of illegal arms and crime prevention to maintain peace in the area.

Information Leads to Swift Action

Acting on credible information from an informant, police learned that two individuals were present near the Arogyadham in Gram Kanhauri on Gorami Road with illegal weapons and were planning to execute a potential incident. The information had created an atmosphere of fear in the region.

Recognizing the seriousness of the tip, a police team swiftly mobilized, cordoned off the area, and successfully apprehended both suspects. This successful operation demonstrated the police's preparedness and efficiency in responding to threats.

Suspects Identified, Weapons Seized

The apprehended suspects have been identified as Shivam Rathore (23), son of Ramavatar Rathore, residing in Ward No. 12, Rajesh Gali, Mo Road, Mehgaon, and Nitesh (18), son of Ramnivas Kushwah, from Gram Vahar Pura, Police Station Mehgaon. A search of the suspects yielded incriminating items.

During the search, one of the accused was found to be carrying an illegal country-made .315 bore pistol. The other accused was found in possession of two live cartridges. This seizure confirms that the individuals were preparing to commit a serious crime.

Investigation Underway

The police have registered a case against both accused under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act. Following their arrest, further investigation has commenced. Preliminary inquiries suggest that both youths were planning to carry out criminal activities.

However, the extent of their plan and any accomplices involved will only be revealed through the ongoing investigation. The police are conducting a thorough inquiry to identify other members of this network and the source of the weapons. Such actions not only deter criminals but also bolster public confidence in security measures.
